Writers use different techniques and styles in order to describe their experiences. Women writers are faced with a double bind situation when writing out their stories – the fact that they are writers, writing about unique experiences and feelings different from that of ordinary men, as well as the fact that they are women. This paper tries to observe Bharati Mukherjee’s writings not only as a reflection of a woman but also of an Indian immigrant. The aim of the paper is to show how she is rooted in her Indian soil by scrutinizing the Indian narrative strategy she adopted in her novels.riters use different techniques and styles in order to describe their experiences.
