As defined in Collins Dictionary, Life Long Learning (LLL) is the “provision or use of both formal and informal learning opportunities throughout people's lives in order to foster the continuous development and improvement of the knowledge and skills needed for employment and personal fulfilment.” This is a concept which is probably the need of the hour in higher education. For economic growth, chances of better employability, personal growth and social growth, the demand is of not only knowledge but even the cognitive competencies, communicative skills, computing skills, research abilities, team building and cooperation, inter-personal skills, decision-making abilities, creative abilities, rational thinking and even an inclination towards all inclusive growth. The age old theories of Instructive, Constructivism seem to be redundant to create the atmosphere of life-long learning. Connectives has become the new-age teaching and learning method which has not only proved to be successful but also a way through which the society gets a fully equipped individual fit for economic, social and personal growth. Not only that, the habit of life-long learning keeps an individual updated, always acceptable by the changing times,, sustainable and fit to survive in any and every circumstances.“LLL creates eagles and not parrots” Life Long Learners can be developed through the Personal Learning Environment provided by the Digital World. This research paper would highlight the importance of LLL and the way it can be achieved through PLE and use of the digital facilities.
