Eco criticism is a term used to the study of environment. Nature is a very significant issue of writing in literature. Emphasis on ecological study is a rapidly growing field. Eco criticism covers a wide range of theories and areas of interest of the relationship of literature and environment. In Indian panorama nature is considered as an inevitable part of human life and custom. Many Indian poets portray the peerless and perennial Indian landscape through their visual imagery and metaphorical language. Eco criticism is concerned with the ecological problems such as pollution, global warming, climate change, deforestation, species extinction and object exploitations. It inclines to investigate and remedy the current environmental issues. It is the study of literature and environment from an inter-disciplinary point of view where all sciences come together to analyse environment and nature.
