A skill is erudition to carry out a task with pre-determined results often within a given amount of time, energy, or both. Skill usually requires certain environmental stimuli and circumstances to measure the level of skill being shown and used. India is a globalised economy and skill development becomes a requirement because of globalisation and its increasing international standardisation of educational systems and challenges and many more reasons. Education is a key factor of approaches to improve individual’s welfare and overall economic and social development. Blending skill development along with value education or quality education would be the best way to fulfill the goal. Women education should be given a prominence role as it contributes for the overall development of the country. It helps in the development of human resources and also in improving the quality of life at home, workplace or may be outside. Women's literacy is key to empowering women's participation in decision making process arising in day to day activities in the society and in improving family’s welfare. India will not be able to apprehend its entire potential unless women are empowered and prepared with the skills necessary to contribute to the development of economy. Through literacy and education the nation can aim at empowering women which can make acquaintances with their lived truths and rights, and enables them to develop analytical skills on various facets of the society and life. Education is a landmark of women empowerment because it enables them to respond to the numerous challenges, to meet their traditional role, change their life and make it more better life to lead.
