Arun Joshi’s The Last Labyrinth voices the strong and rapid change in the feminine position in the postcolonial society. Joshi’s females like Geeta, Gargi, Anuradha, Leela and Azizun are all strong female characters who have their own individuality and choices. It is with their help that the male protagonist Som Bhaskar is able to come out from his miseries.
