This paper bring out the presence of elixir contents in the short stories of Sudha Murthy. How I thought my grandmother to read and other stories is limited to this study. Her books have been translated into all the major Indian languages. She is known for her ability glean interesting stories from the life of ordinary people and weave these narratives into a unique blend of anecdote and fables .Most of her stories are about human emotions and everyday human activities. It's very rare to see the elements of Gods, Goddess and super natural beings solving problems or even those in which animal are given human qualities.
