This article is about the role of female in Shakespeare’s play. Shakespeare is the universal genius who totally transcends all historical and psychological limitation Shakespeare created an independent and unique character. This essay tries to provide answer to following question, what character made the play to end in tragedy? Who plays major role in comedy? and comparing the Shakespeare’s female characters with certain type of women classified by Shakespeare? Firstly it looks into role of female in Shakespeare's comedy and their sense of wit and satric delineation and with comparing their uniqueness and individuality, secondly with role of female in tragedy and then with tragic comedy. Then with Analysis Compare and contrast of shakespeare’s portroyal of Rosalind, Cleopatra, Portia – Shakespeare moulded his heroine into extra ordinary women rather than stereotype. The conclusion of the essay, Shakespeare’s portrayal of the female character is far more positive and most dignified.his article is about the role of female in Shakespeare’s play.
