This study tries to get a fair picture of financial position of SBI (NEW SILCHAR BRANCH). This study will help in providing valuable information to the management which will help them, in taking necessary steps to further improve their financial position in the near future. The topic of this paper is Profitability Analysis of SBI (NEW SILCHAR BRANCH), Assam. With the help of comparative statement of balance sheet and comparative statement of income statement, various ratios, profitability analysis is made in this report. In this project, CAMEL Analysis is also done to measure the profitability of the bank. The required data for the study are secondary in nature and the data are collected from the audited reports of the company. Comparative Statement, Common Size Statement, Ratio Analysis and, CAMEL Analysis are used to analyse the data in this project. To study the financial position of the bank and analyze the financial stability and overall performance of SBI in general. To analyze and interpret the trends as revealed by various ratios of the bank in particular and profitability and solvency position of the unit with the existing tools financial analysis. To study the changes in the assets, liabilities structure of the company during the period of study. Keyword: Profitability, Profit, Ratios, Assets, Liabilities, Deposits, Loans, Management.
