No one would deny this very fact that youth are the back bone of every nation be it developed nation, under developed or developing nation .Giving youth the liberty and the empowerment coupled with tremendous amount of zeal holds the secret of successful nation. India has one of the largest proportions of population in the younger age groups in the world. It is noted that by 2020, India is set to become the world’s youngest country with 64% o its population in the working age group. India needs to empower this human resource, as we believe that, ‘Aaj ke Yuva Hi Kal Ke Desh Ka Bhavishya Hain.” Encouraging the youth to recognize their abilities and implement those abilities for themselves and the nation’s benefit is youth empowerment. This youth energy is an opportunity for our nation and we need to utilize it in a constructive manner. We need to channelize these energies in a positive direction. This researchpaper is an attempt to understand how entrepreneurial skills can empower a youth. The paper begins with the meaning of empowerment and what empowerment results into.
