More and more people are considering pets as a part of their family. The presence of pets helps to reduce health, mental, physical and behavioral issues facing the family. Owing to several changes in life style trends, working culture and the emergence of more and more nuclear families, Indians are opening their doors to pets like never before. Indian Government is yet to recognize this sector and its growth. By conducting this study, what the researcher could infer is that there is immense scope for pet business in India and especially in the study area. Further the study shows that the pet business is not well organised and their present marketing practices has to be restructured. They should identify customer’s expectations and market trend.
