The main area of change in enterprise strategy is the extensive use of Third Party Logistics Providers who are involved in integrating the supply chain operations. Companies are finding it highly feasible to outsource the supply chain operations to 3PLs and focus on their core competencies and other areas of business which can’t be outsourced. In the last few decades there has been considerable interest in the growth of Third Party Logistics providers all over the globe. The 3PLs can improve the business operations and processes by allowing companies to focus on their core competencies that ultimately reduce the business costs, increase the customer satisfaction and supply chain surplus. This study is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach, through multi – cases studies. Based on data analysis, it was found that all organizations, based in the India, have developed competitive advantages in adopting 3PLs, although each company is acting in a different area.
