This paper purports how effectively we manipulate the laptops in language teaching for the Arts College students. Most of the learners at the Arts college undergraduate level in Tamilnadu may be categorized as unskilled ESL listeners in spite of their having studied English as a compulsory subject for twelve years. However the demands on their listening and reading ability are quite high when they graduate. Keywords: Laptop, digital era, authentic and complex tasks, Technological Interventions etc.
