This topic is teaching of prose in English language. Teaching prose is an essential aspect in any level of learning process i.e primary, higher secondary, higher level students in any topic. I would like to share what are the essential steps for requiring teaching of prose? I discuss about innovate octave (8) steps such as 1. Motivation 2. Presentation 3. Model Loud reading by the teacher 4. Loud reading by the pupils 5. Silent reading by the pupils 6. Comprehension question 7. Review/Application questions 8. Follow up/Assignment. The main aim of teaching prose in the intensive study of the language developing habits of rich vocabulary syntax, sentence structure , grammatical items and in proving plenty of language activity to the student i.e listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Thus every ESL teacher should know the teaching method (Direct method-means English to English) steps strategies techniques and tactics. Those who get the mastery level of teaching of prose steps those ESL teacher only can present lesson in effective and efficient manner with teaching learning process in the class room instruction.
